Document Preparation Disclosures
Important information for clients requesting document preparation services from Cornerstone Notary & Document Services.
It is not a substitute for the separate written client disclosure required before document preparation services and it is not the written service contract required for a document preparation engagement.
Before document preparation work begins
Client disclosure
Before services begin, Cornerstone will provide a separate written disclosure for the client to read, acknowledge, and sign. The disclosure will contain the information required for the specific engagement, including registrant and business information and required non-attorney disclosures.
Written service agreement
After the required disclosure is provided, the client will receive a written agreement describing the document preparation services requested, the agreed fees, and other required terms. Cornerstone will not provide legal advice, select legal strategies, or tell a client what legal rights or remedies to pursue.
Client-directed preparation only
Document preparation is performed at the client's direction. Clients are responsible for deciding what they want to file or submit. Questions requiring legal interpretation should be directed to a licensed Nevada attorney.
Payment after required paperwork
For document preparation services, payment is collected only after the required disclosure and service agreement have been completed and the scope and fee have been confirmed.
